Zoltax Adult Uncomplicated UTI 125 mg bid.
Resp tract infections 250-500 mg bid.
Pneumonia or acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis 1.5 g bid or 750 mg parenteral dose bid followed by 500 mg tab bid.
Lyme disease 500 mg bid for 20 days.
Uncomplicated gonorrhea Single 1 g oral dose & 1 g probenecid.
Zoltax Injection Usual dose: 750 mg to 1.5 g 8 hrly for 5-10 days.
Uncomplicated UTI & pneumonia, skin & skin structure infection, disseminated gonococcal infection 750 mg 8 hrly.
Severe or complicated infections, bone & joint infections 1.5 g 8 hrly.
Bacterial meningitis Dose should not be >3 g 8 hrly.
Pre-op prophylaxis 1.5 g dose IV before surgery or at anesth induction (then 12 hrly for a total of 6 g).
